Nákari Koa

Advertising portrait session created for the artisanal dress brand Nákari Koa.

We sought to convey an exotic, warm style, so we chose an outdoor setting at sunset, taking advantage of the texture and atmosphere of a sky filled with clouds illuminated by the last rays of sunlight.

The setting helped evoke the place where the dresses come from.

We used powerful flash with large softboxes to achieve controlled, enveloping lighting.

This setup had two key objectives: to soften the light on the model, highlighting the details of the dress without creating hard shadows, and to counteract the intensity of the sun in the background.

By using an exposure that balanced natural and flash light, we achieved a striking contrast that darkened the sky, adding depth and drama to the scene without losing the rich colors of the sunset.
