Advertising portrait photographs for model Cristina Escudero’s portfolio. In this session we sought to enhance the model’s elegance and sophistication. We chose warm, enveloping lighting to emphasize her gaze and makeup details.
We chose an intense color palette and subtle contrasts to highlight the skin texture and depth of the scene. Through posing and expression direction, we sought to reinforce a luxurious, confident aesthetic, ideal for fashion and beauty campaigns.
Halfway through the session we decided to create long-exposure photographs, seeking the perfect balance between the extreme definition provided by flash and beams of light from other continuous-light sources. In this case, we chose complementary colors to increase contrast and direct all attention to her gaze.
